About
Creativity Takes Courage - Henri Mattise
Julie Delgado has been singing all of her life. Starting at a young age as a member of a church & school choir, then entering into musical theatre. Julie has performed in stage musicals such as Annie, Man of La Mancha, How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, Best Little Whorehouse in Texas, The Wiz, Scrooge, Guys & Dolls, as well as at civic light operas in the Los Angeles, her native city. Julie was honored to sing our national anthem for California Angels, Los Angeles Dodgers, the Disney Spectacular at the Hollywood Bowl, and the Rose Bowl in Pasadena for the Los Angeles Galaxy soccer team.
Her work with demos, background vocals, and session work prepared her for her time working with DJs of KZLA, Los Angeles’s country radio.
When Julie and her husband Manuel Delgado decided to move their business, Delgado Guitars (www.delgadoguitars.com) from Los Angeles to Nashville, this provided many opportunities for Julie to write and perform with other songwriters, musicians, and singers in the Nashville community.
Julie plays regularly at Nashville’s top venues in songwriter rounds. Most recently, Julie is performing Latin music as part of the the group, Los Delgados de Nashville in local clubs in town as well as songwriter rounds.
Julie’s recent release, Poor Girl, is a rich country-Americana collaboration of friends & co-writers steeped in experiences of the heart. Available on streaming platforms.
